Cleaning Burnt Food Out Of Waterless Cookware

When that rare occasion happens – you’ve burnt something in your cookware (maybe because you strayed from the medium-to-low cooking temps which are recommended for most things) – you may wonder,

“How do I get this black stuff off the bottom of my pan?”

Quick Tip:  fill pan 1/3 full with water, put it back on the burner, heat to boiling, turn off burner, and let sit until water cools.

At that point, you can often just wipe it out easily.  Tougher ones may require some scrubbing with a hard plastic or metal sponge.  The nice thing is you don’t have to worry about hurting the pan.

Hey Peggy. Have you tried scrubbing it with one of the metal scrubbers that you can get in the cleaning aisle of the grocery store? Here’s a link to the specific one I’m talking about … https://tinyurl.com/2p8ndb4j … these will work magic & remove any really tough, burnt on items. Then use bar keeper’s friend to shine it up like new once you’re done with this. I’ve taken the worst & made it like new with this tool + bar keeper’s friend in 5 mins or less many times over.
